Vincent T. Perri, 91, Greenfield Twp., died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. His wife was the late Marion Stefanovich Perri.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Anthony and Jane Depoti Perri, he was a Korean War United States Air Force veteran.
He devoted the next 35 years of service to the Department of the Army, he worked as Chief of Cost Accounting, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Coolbaugh Twp. and retired as Accounting Chief from Picatinny Arsenal, Wharton NJ.
He and his wife also owned and operated ABACA Professional Business Services Inc., with offices in Scranton and Kingston.
In his youth he was an avid golfer, playing in locals leagues and tournaments. Vince also loved baseball and was an enthusiastic NY Yankees fan. He enjoyed attending games with his daughter and was in attendance for the 2019 Washington Nationals World Series.
His dog and best friend Ozzie held a special place in his heart. He was always by his side, watching the NY Yankees and waiting for treats.
Surviving: a daughter, Camille J. Perri, Washington DC; and several nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosalie Perri Graziano and a niece.
Camille extends her sincere gratitude to the Wayne Memorial Hospital staff, and Interim Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy staff for their compassionate care.
The funeral will be Monday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary’s Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
