Sue Ann M. (Augustine) Edmunds, 78, former resident of the North High Rise, Carbondale, died Wednesday at Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Edmund F. Edmunds Jr., died in 2002.

Born in Pittston, daughter of the late Victor and Della (Struzzieri) Augustine, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Sue Ann was a very friendly person who enjoyed socializing with family, friends and acquaintances.

Survivors include a daughter, Margery Williams, Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Harry Courtney, Carbondale; a sister, Darlene Augustine, Pittston; a brother, Richard Augustine, Pittston; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

A public viewing will be held Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
