Stephen J. Tellep, 70, Carbondale, formerly of Clifford, died Friday at Carbondale Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Victor and Victoria Zaccone Tellep, Stephen was a dairy farmer, loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching old movies. He was an old car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
The family thanks the Carbondale Nursing Home staff and Hospice of the Sacred Heart staff for their care.
Surviving are three sons, James Tellep and wife, Michele, Jessup; Michael Tellep, Carbondale; and John Tellep, California; two daughters, Tracy Tellep and husband, Jacob, Uniondale; and Karen Stinson and husband, Eric, Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Tellep; Stephanie Trochinsky and husband, Christopher; Reina Inshetski and husband, Shawn; Madisyn Tellep, Michael Tellep and Alex Tellep; Emila Knowlton and Asher Knowlton; Victoria Stinson and Laela Stinson; and four great-grandchildren, Malcolm and Makayla Trochinsky; Arielle and Grayson Inshetski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. The family will receive friends from 9:10 a.m. until Mass time. Cremation will follow. Interment at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery at a future date.
