Sammy Arthur

Sammy Arthur, 62, Clifford, died Monday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late George and Marjorie Nolan Arthur, he loved operating his own plumbing business and loved going to work every day. He cherished being a Pop-Pop to his grandchildren. A friend to so many, if you knew him, you loved him.

Surviving are: two daughters, Samantha Arthur Brady and husband, Bailey Brady, Simpson; Keri Heenan, Carbondale and fiancé, Nick Seeley; four grandchildren, Wyatt Seeley; Safira Brady; Elora Brady; Eleanor Seeley; a brother, Mark Arthur; a sister, Dora Wentz; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: two brothers, George Arthur; William Arthur; a sister, Sharon Arthur.

The funeral will be Friday with a service held at 10 a.m. at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale by Eileen Aguiar, OCIA/Bereavement Ministry, Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 4 pm until 7 pm in the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
