Ruth E. Simrell, 94, Scranton, died Monday at The Gardens at Scranton. Her husband was the late Floyd Simrell.
Born in Waymart, daughter of the late Rollin E. and Jessie Marsh Blair, she was an LPN and later was an inspector at Daystrom (Lockheed Martin) where she retired. She was a loving wife who loved her family including her cats.
Surviving are: a daughter, Linda Simrell, Lansdale; a brother, Roy Blair, Simpson; a sister, Shirley Anderson, Calabash, NC; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
The funeral will be Saturday at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale with a prayer service in the funeral home at 10 a.m. by Rev.
Jack Munley. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
A viewing will be held Friday at the funeral home from 5 pm until 7 pm.
