Roy Martin Koerner, 87, Scranton, died Tuesday at Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton.

Born in New York City, son of the late Sebastian and Regina Kraus Koerner, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was an artist.

Surviving are: a son, Peter Koerner and wife, Brenda, West Clifford; a daughter, Karolina Koerner, Philadelphia; a grandson, Adam Ben-Avi, two great grandchildren, Ava Penelope Ben-Avi and Evan Ben-Avi; and a sister, Barbara Heid, Connecticut.

As per Roy’s request, cremation was held at Maple Hill Crematory at Salem, Archbald.
