Robert W. Adams Jr.

Robert W. Adams Jr., Bob or as most of the family referred to him as “Penner”, joined his family and Saviour in Heaven on Wednesday at the wonderful age of 93.

Born to the late Robert and Lelia Arthur Adams on November 22, 1932 in Whites Crossing, Pa., he worked for A&P and a division of A&P Supermarket Services for over 51 years. A commitment that lead him to many very long friendships.

To Lori Hubal, Andy Hubal, Dave Hubal, Karen (Hubal) Trynoski, Dawn (Adams) Worden and Amy Adams, he was a special Uncle Bob. He was the baseball playing, take you fishing, BBQing chicken, take you to “special sales” uncle. As years passed, he was blessed with the additions of Cheryl (Dave’s wife), Kevin (Dawn’s husband) and his great nieces, Rachel, Kacie, and Kaylin and nephews, Craig, Rob, Keith and Joey. He was also blessed with several great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Wayne Woodlands Manor staff for the care and compassion they have given Bob over his last years of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Marion Adams, Joyce Hubal, brothers, Donald Adams, Frank Adams, niece, Tracy Adams, nephews, Robert Hubal and Jim Trynoski.

A viewing will be held Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. in Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. He was of the Presbyterian faith with a service being held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment, future date Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
