Modine Alner, 69, of Greenfield Twp., formerly of Carbondale, died Thursday.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Edwin S. and Marguerite Meyers Alner, she was a teacher and a talented musician who enjoyed playing the harp. She was a devoted caregiver to her parents and extended family.
She is survived by a brother, Edwin L. Alner and wife, Eileen, Ashburn Va.
The funeral will be Tuesday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, at a future date.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
