Michael C. Scotch Jr., 27, Carbondale, died Monday in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Carbondale, son of Jill and Thomas Fallon, Carbondale, and Michael and Lisa Scotch, Florida, he was a multi-sport Carbondale Area standout and graduate. He was a free spirit who loved life and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He spent much of his free time riding his motorcycle and playing sports, which included a fierce love for big ball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of The Weekender Hunting Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: sister Brianna Scotch and wife, Kayla, and nephew Lorenzo Scotch, Fla.; maternal grandparents Joe and Peggy Jean Buonomo, Carbondale; half sister Logan Scotch and half brother Lucas Scotch, Fla.; step brother Tommy Fallon, Carbondale; step sisters Ricky Barzensky, Vt., Tomlynn Biondo, Vt., and Jill Kravitz, Carbondale; paternal grandfather Joseph Scotch, Carbondale; several aunts and uncles; cousins, Gia and Sam Perri, Taylor Mazza, Ella and Marco Buonomo, and Katie Scotch; and companion and soulmate, Lizz Albanesi, Carbondale.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Nancy Scotch.
The funeral will be Saturday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Cremation will follow. Interment at a future date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
