Melissa Stalter, age 36, resident of Childs, PA, passed away Thursday morning, as a result of a tragic accident.

Born and raised in Port Jervis, NY, she is the daughter of the late Robert Stalter, Jr., and the late Kelly (Hess) Coleman.

Melissa, a mother of three, will be remembered for being a beautiful soul with a heart of gold. She was very outgoing, exceptionally friendly, and a free spirit that lived life to the fullest. She had a gorgeous smile with infectious laughter that warmed the heart. Above all else, Melissa was a loving mother who cherished her three beautiful children, a loving sister who stood by her siblings through thick and thin, and a loving friend who will forever be in the hearts of many.

Surviving are her three children, Javon Herrera, Rylan Morais, and Emily Morais; two brothers, Robert Stalter and Evan Hess; two sisters, Brittany Stalter and Chelsey Hoekstra; as well as a grandmother, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and close friends.

A public viewing will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 3-5 p.m. at the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 74 North Main St., Carbondale, with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 p.m.
