Mary Ann Tomaine, 80, of Waymart, died Monday, March 6, at Wayne Woodlands, Waymart. Her husband was the late James Tomaine.

Born in Mineola, N.Y., daughter of the late Walter and Bernice Lyzak Cboski, she was a volunteer at Regional Hospital of Scranton, enjoyed going out to dinner and loved her animals. She worked for Verizon for many years.

She is survived by a brother, Stephen Cboski and wife, Janet, Georgia; nieces, Joanne and Jennifer, Georgia; great-nieces and great-nephew, Freya, Farrah, Ava, Addison and Nathan; beloved friend, Margaret Worth, Greentown; and significant other, Paul Horry, Lake Ariel.

Due to weather, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
