Mary Ann Coleman, 80, Carbondale, died at home Tuesday. Her husband is James P. Coleman.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Nick and Jennie Cassaro Rocco, for many years she was a seamstress in the garment industry and worked at Gentex later in life. She enjoyed going to the casinos; attending shows at the casinos; working spelling puzzles; having lunch with a few special friends for years; crocheting blankets and other items.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two sons, James Coleman, Carbondale; Joseph Coleman and wife, Larae, Fla.; a daughter, Michelle Coleman, Carbondale; grandchildren, Jennifer; Abigail; Jesse; Dylan; Aliya; Jacob, McKenzie; Devon; Cassidy; great grandchildren, Isabella; Zoey; Winry; Cannon; a sister, Elaine Barchak, Carbondale; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: four sisters, Rose Perri; Betty Rocco; Nicholina Pelick; Joann Rocco; a brother, Dominick Rocco.
The funeral will be Friday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2 Hospital St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary’s Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. All those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church.
A viewing will be held today (Thursday) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
