Marianne Oleksa, 67, of Scranton, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Andrew Oleksa Jr.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Louise Peduto Brady, she was an avid doll collector and loved to travel with her husband. She enjoyed working at Allied Services for 38 years. Marianne was an honor student and 1975 graduate at St. Rose High School. She graduated cum laude from Marywood College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish’s St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Visitatiion will be held from 9 a.m. until Mass time at the church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
