Marian “Mae” Totsky Cerra, 92, Carbondale died Thursday at Mid Valley Health Center, Peckville. Her husband was the late Bernard Cerra.
Born in Mayfield, daughter of the late John and Anna Ostrowski Totsky, she was dedicated to her faith and her family. Always there to help family, she enjoyed bingo and going to Mohegan Sun. She was a 1945 graduate of Mayfield High School and was a seamstress in the garment industry for many years. Mae was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Mayfield and was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Simpson.
The family extends a sincere thank you to the Mid Valley Health Center staff for their compassionate care.
She is survived by: a brother, Francis Totsky, Simpson; three sisters, Dolores Tracewski and husband, Richard, Peckville; Loretta Anuszewski and husband, Chet, Peckville; Jane Orlando, Mayfield. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John Totsky, Robert Tocki, Joseph Totsky and Larry Totsky and two sisters, Florence Russell and Rose Saltisiak.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing required.
