Lorraine "Lori" Rizzi

Lori Rizzi, 65, Carbondale, died at home on Thursday.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph McGowan and Delores Savka McGowan, she was a 1977 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She worked as a waitress before retirement. Lori served as an altar server at weekly Masses and Funeral Masses for Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale.

Surviving are: two sons, Keith Gressell and wife Jackie, Seattle, WA; William Rizzi and significant other, Stephen Sekoulopoulos, Hershey; a daughter, Ashley Rizzi and significant other, Harry Snyder, Moosic; eight grandchildren; a sister, Kelly Russell, Scranton; several nieces and nephews.

Lori was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Angelo; a brother, Joseph McGowan.

A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
