Lela A. Dolph, 73, of Waymart, died Monday at Allied Hospice.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Robert and Lela France Tregaskis, she was a nurse’s aide and homemaker. Lela enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are Ben Bowen III, her companion for 35 years, Waymart; five sons, John Jr. and wife, Isabel, Dickson City; Michael and wife, Marjie, Prompton; William and wife, Peggy, Waymart; Jeffrey and wife, Lisa, Waymart; and Mark and wife, Lori, Browndale; a daughter, Melissa, Philadelphia; two brothers, Jerry Tregaskis, Florida; and Robert Tregaskis, Jessup; two sisters, Jane Carite, Forest City; and Edna Simon, Archbald; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Dolph Sr.; a brother, Charles; and sisters, Roberta, Mae, Olive, Geniveve and Ruth.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. Interment at a later date in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
