Kevin W. (Bro) Chubb, 68, of Carbondale, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is Theresa Mark Chubb.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Earl H. and Betty Lou Swingle Chubb, he was a machinist. He was a Third Degree Mason for more than 25 years in Carbondale Lodge 249, very active in Trinity Episcopal Church for more than 40 years, a volunteer fireman for 35 years for Greenfield Twp., a member of Carbondale American Legion Post 221, a lifetime member of the NRA, an honorary member of the Fraternal Order of Police; and very active in hunting and fishing. The family extends its sincere appreciation to extended families, the Teeples and Chervankas, and Regional Hospital staff and its Intensive Care Unit staff.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Earl A. Chubb, Greenfield Twp.; 21 nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, May 10, 2024, from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 58 River St., Carbondale. Cremation will follow.

A viewing will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Carbondale Lodge 249 will conduct a Masonic service Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
