Josier Cron

Josier Cron, 77, of Carbondale, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Josier and Priscilla Stucker Cron. Josier was employed by the City of Carbondale Department of Public Works prior to his retirement.

A devoted family man, Josier cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs and animals, who brought him great companionship and joy.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert Cron, Carbondale; and Martin Cron, Sweet Valley; a sister, Eydie Morcom, Waymart; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Josier was preceded in death by his siblings, Alvin, Marie, Brad, Jessie, Oscar, and Leon.

Family and friends are invited to attend Josier's visitation, which will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. A blessing service will be held at 3:45 p.m.
