Jennifer (Fofi) Ostroski, 46, Waymart, passed away Saturday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Her husband is Marc Ostroski.
Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of Debra (Karlak) Megivern and the late Eugene Fofi; and step daughter of James Megivern.
Jennifer was an avid fisherman and hunter. She enjoyed doing those things with her husband and children. She took great pride in her two children. In addition, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are son, Marc Ostroski Jr., Waymart; daughter; Amanda Ostroski, Waymart; brother, Joe Fofi and wife, Angela, Greenfield Twp.; sister, Michele Fofi and fiancé, Ray Grimes, Olyphant; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing rules will be in effect at both the funeral home and church. Conversations should be limited in order for those in attendance to have an opportunity to offer condolences. A waiting time may occur before entering the funeral home.
