Jennifer A. Martines, 66, of Carbondale, died Saturday at home. Her husband was Salvatore “Sam” Martines.

Born in Florida, daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley Ritter Minnett, she was a gifted and accomplished artist. Her talents included, drawing, painting, sculpting and metallurgy. Her works were sold worldwide.

She had a strong sense of faith and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kristin Hodnett and husband, Michael, West Virginia; brothers-in-law, Michael Martines and wife, Mary Lee, Vandling; Matthew Martines, Carbondale; Joseph Martines and wife, Joan, Carbondale; an uncle and aunt, William and Patricia Ritter, California; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved, adored and prayed for daily.

Services will be announced at a future date.
