Carbondale

Hilda N. Nati DiBiasi, 98, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully early Thursday, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank R. DiBiasi, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Born in Carbondale on July 26, 1927, Hilda was the daughter of the late Dominick and Orsala Fancelli Nati.

Hilda met the love of her life, Frank, on the dance floor in Throop. They shared a loving marriage for 54 years, building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to their family.

Hilda’s greatest joy was caring for those she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family and celebrating their accomplishments and milestones.

She is survived by her three children, Cindy, Jim and Frank DiBiasi Jr and six beloved grandchildren and a great grandchild: Alexander DiBiasi and his wife, Kimmie, and their daughter, Olivia; Madeleine DiBiasi and her husband, Josh Mahoney; Lauren Hewins; Erica Hewins and her husband, Santiago Canton; Isabella DiBiasi; and James DiBiasi. Hilda was also dearly loved by many nieces and nephews, whose kindness and care brought her great comfort throughout her life.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her four sisters, Amelia Piezga, Ann Depoti, Elma Piccotti, and Orsala Pazzaglia; and her brother, Dominick Nati.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited, called, prayed for, and supported Hilda throughout her life. In her final years, Hilda received amazing care from the staff at the Vi at Aventura and her private duty aides. The family extends the warmest of appreciation and love to all, especially Denise, Jennifer, and Marcia who treated Hilda with enormous love and respect.
