Helen J. “Dolly”  Houdershieldt, 45, Carbondale, died Wednesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of Helen Marie Martin, Helen is survived by: two children, Bruce Monestine and Jahliel LaRoche, Carbondale; four brothers, Ed Martin,Colorado; Patrick Martin, Indiana; Randy Martin, Carbondale; Gino LaRoche, Wilkes-Barre; six sisters, Lisa LaRoche, Taylor; Denise Hudack, Kandy Jankowski, Laura McCord and Allison Hill, all of Carbondale; Tara LaRoche, Dickson City; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life gathering.
