Gertrude E. Dempsey

Gertrude E. Dempsey, of Massapequa (formerly of Matawan, N.J.) died Thursday. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin J. Dempsey.  She is survived by sons, Daniel and wife, Maria; Martin and wife, Tracy; James and wife, Zeny; Timothy, Thomas and wife, Loren; and Michael; and 10 grandchildren.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Blakely.  Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home Inc., 115 N. Garfield Ave., Olyphant.  The family requests donations may be made to Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Youth Group Ministry, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, PA 18447.
