Francis C. Cerra, 82, Carbondale, died Tuesday at Forest City Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Frank J. and Katherine Flis Cerra, he worked at Farview State Correctional Institute, Waymart for a number of years.

The family extends its sincere appreciation to the Forest City Nursing Home staff.

Surviving are: a sister, Joan Fortuner, Greenfield Twp.; a nephew, Alan Fortuner Sr. and wife, Marnell, Clifford Twp.; a niece, Lori Zeshonski and husband, Michael, Greenfield Twp.; several great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces.

The funeral will be Monday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary’s Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m until Mass time.
