Claire J. Thomas, 93, Carbondale, died Tuesday at home. Her husband was the late David Thomas.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late John R. and Anna Stiles Williams, she worked for many years as an LPN at Carbondale General Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. She loved helping people. The family thanks Traditional Home Health and Hospice for their care.

Surviving are a son, David W. Thomas Jr., Carbondale; a grandson, David W. Thomas III, Carbondale; brothers, Jerry Williams, Carbondale; John Williams, Georgia; Buzz Williams, Alabama; a sister, Lois Cox, Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice.

Private interment will be held at Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
