Catherine “Kay” Arthur, 93, Carbondale died Thursday at Regional Hospital, Scranton. Her husband is Edward Arthur.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia Mangiardo Galati, she was a homemaker and loved shopping.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Marie McAndrew, Carbondale; nieces and nephews, several step-children and step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: brothers, Russell, Salvatore, Domenic, Anthony, Michael and Angelo Galati; sisters, Delores McAndrew and Mary Trunzo.
On Wednesday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
Arrangements, Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale.
