Carolyn “Bootsie” Faye Crane Shaw, 85, passed peacefully into eternity Sunday morning, Aug. 12, 2018, in the comfort of her home on St. Simons Island, Ga.

She was a majorette and 1951 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Wilkinson and Olive Wheeler Crane; brothers, C.B. “Jimmy” Crane, Paul Wheeler Crane, Gerald “Jerry” H. Crane, Robert “Bobby” D. Crane; sister, Eunice Hope King and husband, Charles Jacob Shaw; and her beloved and dearly missed grandsons, Miles Hamilton Brooks and Gerald “Trey” H. Edwards III.

Bootsie is survived by her sisters, Constance “Connie” Olive Waddell and Virginia Jean Price; and her brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” M. Crane and Harold Wilkinson Crane; the father of her children, Gerald “Jerry” H. Edwards; daughters, Gennene Brooks, Robin Marsili, Paige Edwards; and son, Jay Edwards; beloved grand and great-grandchildren and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
