Carolyn Grizzanti, 79, Carbondale, died at Geisinger Community Medical Center on Saturday. Her husband was the late Ralph Grizzanti.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Oncavage, she worked in the Carbondale Area School District cafeteria for a number of years. She was a St. Rose High School graduate.

Surviving are a son, Ralph Grizzanti Jr., Carbondale. She was an aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt to nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Oncavage; and sisters, Paulette Andrews and Dorothy Gillette.

The funeral will be Saturday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
