Carol Ann Turano, 80, Carbondale, died Sunday at Allied Hospice, Scranton. Her late husband was Gerald J. “Puckey” Turano.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Richard and Helen Wiltz Pidgeon, she was the office manager for opthamologist, Dr. Hahn. She loved visiting her children and grandchildren, weekend getaways with Puckey, and loved feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard.

Survivors include: son, Rick Turano and wife, Dorothy Walsh Turano and their children, Rick and wife, Nicole; Kevin and companion, Lisa Henry; Michael and fiancee Annalisa Lepre-Legg; and Christina and companion, Dave Goldate; son, Rob Turano and wife, Candy Pettinato Turano and their children, Dominick and his wife, Kristy; Lexi Garcia and her husband, Andrew; son, Timmy Turano and wife, Caprice Turano and their son, Hunter; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Donald Pidgeon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp. at a future date.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:15 a.m. until Mass time.
